| Rapid Advanced Manufacturing Placement (RAMP) Program |

| The Three Rivers Planning & Development District (TRPDD), in partnership with the South Delta Planning & Development District (SDPDD), and in collaboration with the Mississippi Partnership Workforce Investment Area (MPWIA), Delta Workforce Investment Area (DWIA), area employers, and education and training providers will implement the Mississippi Rapid Advanced Manufacturing Placement (RAMP) Program.
This is an innovative fast-track program to rapidly train and place dislocated workers, low-income individuals, offenders, and veterans in advanced manufacturing and green jobs. RAMP will offers an innovative approach for fast track advanced manufacturing and green jobs skills training in Mississippi through the deployment of the Time Wise Management Systems (TWMS) Mobile Outreach Skills Training (M.O.S.T.) ® program. RAMP will consist of a four-phased strategy that is focused on job-placement, including: (1) Pre-training recruitment and assessment of employers who commit to hire successful trainees, as well as recruitment and screening of participants; (2) Two-weeks of Phase I basic skills training in a hands-on state-of-the-art mobile training unit (MTUs), followed by immediate placement in full time, paid positions with benefits in the previously secured jobs; (3) Eight-weeks of Phase II supervised and customized On-The-Job Training (OJT) to transition trainees into fully functional and productive members of the workforce; and (4) Sixteen-weeks of Phase III mentoring to ensure retention and facilitate career progression.
Three Rivers Planning and Development District will be further supported by Time Wise Management Systems (TWMS), which is a national continuous improvement business advisory firm that specializes in developing and delivering innovative job skills training and placement services. TWMS Mobile Outreach Skills Training (M.O.S.T.) program is one of the most successful accelerated job creation programs funded by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration High Growth Job Training Initiative. M.O.S.T. has achieved an impressive record of success training and placing populations such as veterans, disadvantaged youth, the unemployed, offenders, the underemployed, the disabled and individuals on public assistance.
